根据伪纪录片电影《吸血鬼生活 What We Do in the Shadows》改编，FX同名喜剧定于美国时间3月27日首播，这部首季10集半小时喜剧由原片的Jemaine Clement及Taika Waititi分别负责剧本及执导，Kayvan Novak﹑Matt Berry﹑Natasia Demetriou及Harvey Guillen主演。
电影剧情讲述三个住在纽西兰威灵顿的吸血鬼Viago﹑Deacon及Vladislav，他们纵然是不死生物，但还是得入乡随俗过类似人类的生活，例如想办法付租金﹑做家务﹑混夜总会及应付室友之间的冲突。
在剧版《吸血鬼生活》中，Kayvan Novak饰演Nandor，吸血鬼家中的头子﹑Matt Berry饰演Lazslo，是个耍笨搞笑的存在﹑Natasia Demetriou饰演Nadja，强悍的女吸血鬼﹑Harvey Guillen饰演Nandor的助手。
